The Theme Tester plugin is a simple to install and use plugin which enables a theme to be visible only to signed in site administrators, while regular site visitors continue to see the normal theme. This is particularly handy for enabling clients to preview themes or for use while carrying out final testing on a new or modified theme. It’s also useful when trying to debug plugin/theme/WordPress conflicts as it enables you to test what’s going on while using a default theme, such as Twenty Ten.
Once activated, a ‘Theme Tester’ link will appear in the ‘Appearance’ menu. Click on the link, activate Theme Tester, then activate the theme you want to use for testing. While the plugin is active a message appears at the top of every page in site admin to remind you that it’s active. Instal a copy via your site’s appearance menu (appearance > instal themes tab) or download it here.
